Russian lawyers are in Armenia for the experience exchange

Seven well-known Russian lawers arrived in Armenia for trainings. Press service of Armenian Human Rights Defender’s office informs that the lawyers are in Armenia with three-day visit. They have visited prisons, police departments, special schools and mad-houses in frame of their visit.

Armenian lawyers presented to their Russian counterparts their experience and skills in doing monitorings in closed institutions, and also held some practical exercises.

The visit will be concluded on November 29. Russian lawyers will meet Armenian Human Rights Defender and will present impression of the visit. Representatives of the local human rights defending organizations will also attend the meeting.

This initiative of experience exchange is taking place in frame of the cooperation between Armenian and Russian Ombudsmen Karen Andreasyan and Vladimir Lukin and is supported by the European Counicl.
