Newspapers today: Armenian police also gets ready for the elections

“168 hours” newspaper writes that Armenian National Congress pre-electoral staff will be led by ANC member, former Armenian chief prosecutor Gagik Jhangiryan.

“Hayots Ashkharh” has published the list of the “offended” people. According to the list Davit Shahnazaryan and Felix Khachatryan are offended from the ANC, Ararat Zurabyan is offended from the joint list by “Heritage” and “Free democrats”, Andranik Tevanyan, Vardan Bostanjyan, Petros Ghazaryan are offended from the “Prosperous Armenia”. Karine Hakobyan left “Heritage” party and as the newspaper writes Larisa Alaverdyan is also dissatisfied with the party and she got an offer to teach at Slavonic University. She also seems to leave the party. The newspaper also wrote about Susana Abrahamyan, who denied her position as the speaker of “Rule of Law” party.  

“Hraparak” writes that interesting developments are accepted in Armenian inner political life especially after the elections. According to the newspaper Robert Qocharyan intends to present his candidacy at the coming Presidential elections against Serzh Sargsyan and he does not keep the plan in secret. Everything will be decided after the Parliamentarian elections, when it will be known how many place RPA will get and how many places “Prosperous Armenia” will have in the NA.

As “Haykakan zhamanak” writes well-known sport journalist Armen Nikoghosyan presented open letter where applied to the political forces and asked them not to involve sportsmen in the political struggle. “Chairman of the Armenian Olympic Committee, chairman of the Armenian Football Federation, chairman of the Armenian Chess Federation must promise that our advanced sportsmen will not participate in the pre-electoral campaign. Don’t touch our guys!”, the letter says.

“Zhokhovurd” writes that yesterday Armenian Police held a session. According to the publication during the session Vladimir Gasparyan announced that Serzh Sargsyan gave a direct order to pass the elections without any incidents. “Police belongs to everyone, there are no parties, no opposition, no authorities. All of them are our citizens. If there is any illegal action we must react and never mind who the author of the illegal action is”, V. Gasparyan underlined.
