Expert: “If Russia is led by the military and technical interest the duplicate of the Gabala radar will be built in Armenia”

If Russia is led by the military and technical interest so the duplicate of the Gabala radar will be built in Armenia but if Russia is led by the political interests so it will decide to leave the radar in Azerbaijan or not. Military expert Artsrun Hovhannisyan announced about this during the press conference today.

According to him building of the radar in Armenia will be effective and useful decision for Russia.

“Our offer is right, useful and well-thought as our country has high settlement so the sight will be better”, A. Hovhannisyan noted.

According to the expert the radar in Azerbaijan is a “technical measure of previous age” and it is not effective. Besides this the radar needs to be restored.  

Commenting on the issue whether any military of strategic information may be transferred to Iran A. Hovhannisyan said that in reality Russia must transfer the data online.

Military expert also considers that Russia is going to create a anti rocket defense system in the CSTO countries and radar is the “further eye of the anti rocket system”.
