Edward Nalbandian and Czech Ambassador discussed issues of bilateral interest

On December 12, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Armenia Petr Mikyska St., on the occasion of handing over his credentials.

Congratulating the Ambassador on the appointment, Minister Nalbandian mentioned that Petr Mikyska’s efficient tow-years activity in the capacity of Chargé d’Affaires of the Czech Republic to Armenia gives hope that during his mission the Ambassador will bring his significant input in further strengthening and expansion of friendly Armenian-Czech relations.

Expressing gratitude for the reception and high assessment of his activity, the newly-appointed Ambassador Mikyska noted, that the Czech Republic attaches significance to further deepening of relations with Armenia and that the decision to appoint a resident Ambassador in Yerevan serves a best witness to it. He assured that he would spare no effort to move forward the comprehensive cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Czech Republic.

The sides thoroughly discussed the schedule of forthcoming mutual high-level visits, further steps towards the expansion of the legal framework, inter-parliamentary and decentralized cooperation, development of trade and economic, cultural, scientific interaction, Armenia-European Union cooperation issues.

During the meeting thoughts were exchanged on pressing international and regional issues.
