OSCE Chairperson-in-Office appeals for renewed Minsk peace dialogue on Ukrainian issue

The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Serbia’s Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić on January 29 held a telephone conversation with his Special Representative to the Trilateral Contact Group, Ambassador Heidi Tagliavini, who briefed him on the latest developments in the implementation of the peace plan in eastern Ukraine.

Dačić extended his full support for the work of Tagliavini and the Trilateral Contact Group. He expressed his hope that the Contact Group members and all the signatories of the Minsk documents would gather for a new round of peace consultations in Minsk as soon as possible.

“I urge all sides involved in the conflict to stop the hostilities and return to the negotiating table. The international community expects the signatories of the Minsk documents to honour their commitments and pave the way for a peaceful resolution of the conflict,” said Dačić.
