Armenian officials and Italian businessmen discussed possibilities of cooperation

On May 25 business forum in Venice was organized by the Armenian Embassy in Italy. The forum was named “Armenia: new market for the Italian companies”, press and information department of Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs.

Armenian Ministry of Economics, Armenian Development Agency, “Info Armenia” organization, Venice Municipality and European Business Agency were the organizers of the forum.

Representatives of nearly 80 Italian companies from Veneto State participated in the forum.  

Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia T. Harutyunyan and the director of Armenian Development Agency R. Harutyunyan arrived in Venice to participate in the forum. They have presented business reality in Armenia and the steps to make reforms on the sphere. They spoke about investment policy, taxes policy.

The participants of the forum were presented indexes of export and import of Armenia and the evaluations which the international organizations have given to Armenia. The participants were also informed about the Italian organizations which already exist in Armenia.

Council of Armenian Embassy in Italy B. Sahakyan delivered welcoming speech and spoke about the Armenian-Italian relation in general.

Forum participant A. Ghazinyan, director of European Studies’ Center spoke about the last developments of Armenia-EU relations. On the end of the forum Armenian officials answered to the questions by the Italian businessmen.
