Elections of local administrative bodies were held in five Armenian regions

On September 23 the elections of the local administrative bodies took place in five regions of Armenia. 53.31 % of the electors participated in the elections.

As the press service of the Central Electoral Committee informs only 29.79 % of the electors participated in the elections (12.675 people of 42.552). According to the initial information Karapet Guloyan is reelected as the Mayor of Abovyan town. 10.186 people gave their votes to him. His rival, Artashes Mehrabyan got 1778 electors.

Rudik Ghukasyan is elected as Mayor of Sevan town. He was the only candidate and 7203 people voted for him, which means 49.90 % of the electors.
