Chigorin Memorial is over: Armenian chess-players are not among the leaders

GM Vladimir Akopian scored 7 points out of 9 and shared 3rd-11th places in Chigorin Memorial that was held in St. Petersburg, Russia. By the tie-break Akopian took the 10th place. Armchess.am informs about this.

GMs Robert Hovhannisyan, Sergey Grigoriants, Artur Gabrielian, Yuriy Ajrapetjan scored 6,5 points each.

Vladimir Akopian was only half a point behind the winners – GMs Alexander Areshchenko (Ukraine) and Bartosz Socko (Poland). By the tie-break the first prize was given to Areshchenko.
