Ankara not to launch military operations in Syria-Turkish Deputy Prime Minister

Currently, Turkey does not consider the military operation in Syria, the A Haber TV channel quotes the Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Yalcin Akdoghane.

“At the moment Turkey does not consider military operation in Syria.

We are not interested in the war and do not aspire to it.

However, we would like to create a -10km-security zone, which will include the city of Azaz, in the Syrian territory”, said the Turkish Deputy Prime Minister.

Akdoghane also noted that the Turkish artillery strikes on the Kurdish “Democratic Union” positions in northern Syria were “measures aimed at strengthening regional DM’s programs, as well as measures aimed at Turkey’s national security”.

Commenting on the actions of the Russian military aviation in Syria, Deputy Prime Minister said:

“Political pressure should be applied on Russia.

No one should bombard Azaz.

It is a humanitarian aid corridor, and no one has the right to cause damage to it.

We keep an open door policy and we can not build a wall across the whole border”.
