Uzbekistan’s membership in CSTO is suspended

CSTO heads of state took a decision to suspend Uzbekistan’s membership in the organization in a meeting on 19 December, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said. Belarusain Telegraph Agency writes about this.

“We have agreed to satisfy their request and suspend Uzbekistan’s membership in the CSTO,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

“We have decided on no more concessions in joining the organization, including for this state. If you fulfill all the requirements, ratify all necessary documents, sign them into law, then you are welcome to the organization. It is open to anyone who meet the conditions,” the Belarusian head of state said.
