Armenian chess player participated at Basel open in Switzerland

Armenian GM Hrant Melkumyan scored 7 points out of 9 and shared 3rd-5th places together with GMs Maxim Turov (Russia) and Edouard Romain (France) at the rapid open that was held in Basel, Switzerland. By the tie-break Melkumyan took the 5th place. Armchess.am informs about this. 

IM Eric Hansen (Canada) and GM Mateusz Bartel (Poland) had 7,5 points each. By the tie-break Hansen became the winner.
