Armenian and Japanese diplomats discussed deepening of cooperation

On February 1 Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian hosted special representative of Caucasian issues of Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador takeshi Hikihara. Press and information department of Armenian MFA informs about this.
Welcoming the guest Minister Nalbandian underlined that Armenian-Japanese relations were marked on 2012 by President Sargsyan’s visit to Japan during which Armenian President and Japanese PM agreed on future cooperation and got some agreements for it. Armenian MFA noted with satisfaction that despite of farness between two countries the cooperation is developing effectively.
Armenian MFA thanked Japan for the technical and financial assistance which it showed since Armenian independence.
The sides also referred to the consultations between tow MFAs and to the cooperation in frame of the international organizations. Some regional and international issues were also on agenda.
Minister Nalbanidan presented the last developments of the NK issue settlement process. Japanese official reconfirmed that Japan assisted OSCE MG efforts to settle the NK issue peacefully.
