Armenian and NATO officials rated cooperation level between sides

On January 29 Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs hosted the delegation led by assistant of NATO Secretary General on defense politics and planning, Ambassador Hussein Dirioz. Press service of Armenian Ministry of Defense informs about this.

The visit is included in the whole program of NATO-Armenia cooperation.

Armenian Minister of Defense S. Ohanyan and Ambassador H. Dirioz referred to the main directions of the Armenia-NATO cooperation. Among them are the military education, development of the junior lieutenants’ school, the reforms of the budget planning and defense planning. Armenian peacekeepers’ actions in NATO staff were also on agenda.  

The sides registered progress in reforms held by Armenian Ministry of Defense and the perspectives of NATO form coming years were mentioned.

NATO summit which will take place soon in Chicago was also discussed.

The evaluation of the Armenian-NATO cooperation will be continued also tomorrow.
