On March 22 the traditional acceptance devoted to the Francophone days in Armenia took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of RA. Armenian Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, Armenian deputies, Ambassadors in Armenia, leaders of the French organizations in Armenia and representatives of the educational centers participated in the event. Press and information department of the RA MFA informs about this.
Minister Nalbandyan welcomed the guests and said: “It is pleasant for me to host you at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in frame of the traditional acceptance devoted to the Francophone days in Armenia.
Many years Armenia has directly approached to the complete membership of the Francophone international organization. Armenia strengthens its position in the Francophone world year by year and expresses its devotion to the Francophone values. Conference of the Francophone Mayors which took place in Yerevan on October, 2011, is one of the freshest proofs of my words. More than 150 Mayors of Francophone cities gathered in Yerevan then. It gave another opportunity to Armenian cities and towns to work with their Francophone counterparts.
On March 15-April 21 more than 250 cultural, literal, educational and institutional events are taking place in Yerevan and other regions of Armenia in frame of the Francophone days in Armenia. ”
