A. Azubalis: “We support OSCE MG efforts on NK issue settlement”

“Relations between Armenia and Lithuania are developing dynamically”, Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan announced while welcoming Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis today during the joint press-conference.  

According to him some regional and international issued were discussed during the bilateral meeting. As Armenian MFA announced Nagorno Karabakh issue was on agenda as well.

Edward Nalbandyan referred to the anti-Armenian announcements which are made by Azerbaijan and added that all these announcements are discredited by the UN Security Council.

“These announcements are made in order to cheat the international society. The reports which show the situation of the human rights protection and media freedom in Azerbaijan must be paid attention”, Armenian MFA announced.

In his turn Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania noted that there is political capital in the bilateral relations and economical ties should be expanded.

“Political relations between Armenia and Lithuania are the base for the economical relations”, Azubalis underlined.

Referring to the Artsakh conflict Azubalis said that political will is needed to settle the issue. “We support OSCE MG efforts in NK issue settlement and are for the program which is presented by the mediators.”

Minister Nalbandyan added that Azerbaijan is against the settlement of the NK issue and is against the status-quo. “Armenia agrees with three principles which are presented by the OSCE MG”, Nalbandyan underlined.
