T. Balayan: “EP resolutions are consultative”

Panarmenian.net news agency asked a question to the speaker of Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Tigran Balayan and asked to comment on the resolutions which were accepted the European Parliament onArmeniaandAzerbaijanasking to comment on the resolutions from the Armenian point of view.

“Armenian Parliamentarian representatives who cooperate with the European Parliament in various formats have already responded to those resolutions.

EP has just accepted consultative resolutions. EU has the unchangeable attitude towards the NK issue settlement and it just assists the OSCE MG co-chairs’ efforts. The attitude was expressed by the EU chairman and other high level officials of the organizations. And this attitude coincides with the Armenian attitude”, Mr. Balayan said.

Answering to the question by Panorama.am that some people criticize Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for “not even sending a protest note on this or that question”, T. Balayan said: “The great professors of the diplomatic notes should know that the notes are not published usually.

But if they want to know I will inform that only on April Armenian MFA has sent more than 300 notes to various addresses”.
