The decision is accepted: kiosks will be removed from the Mashtots Park

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan accepted a decision according which the kiosks situated at theMashtots Parkmust be removed. The order is given to the director of “Center-Greening” organization. Official web-site of theYerevanmunicipality informs about this.  He is ordered to remove the pavilions and to make reforms at the territory.

All those responsibilities are given to the acting leader of the Center community, heads of the departments of the nature protection and urban development ofYerevanmunicipality and the director of the “Center-Greening” organization.

Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan will supervise the process.

Remind that on May 1 RA President Serzh Sargsyan accompanied by the Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan visited  Mashtots park, on spot got acquainted with the improvement activities and expressed his position regarding the temporary pavilions placed there. In this regard the leader of the Republic proposed the Mayor of Yerevan to dismantle the temporary pavilions within the framework of complex improvement of the park. Referring to this issue Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan particularly said, “Today we have visited Mashtots park together with the President of the Republic, discussed the issued related to pavilions’ dismantling and the park improvement. By the proposition of the President tomorrow during the working day I will make decision on dismantling the pavilions in Mashtots park. In short terms we shall dismantle the pavilions and go on the improvement activities”.

In respond to the issue discussed in social networks whether it is possible that the pavilions will be placed in Abovyan street again Taron Margaryan said that such talks are nonsense. “We have already dismantled the pavilions inAbovyan streetand handed these areas to the population” said the Mayor of Yerevan.
