Davit Tonoyan about EU report: “It evaluates the situation objectively”

Armenian Deputy Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan gave a comment to Mediamax news agency about the documents on the joint work on 2011 by the European Commission and European Union‘s High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, press service of Armenian Ministry of Defense informs.

D. Tonoyan said that the European Union institutes evaluated rightly the policy of the Armenian Ministry of Defense towards the Armed Forces and the civilian and democratic supervision abilities.

“Before speaking about the signed documents and the part about Armed Forces I would like you to pay attention on the fact that the documents are not in the same form for all countries. The same subtitles present different things. And it seems that the EU paid attention only to the issues where advantage is seen. Only Armenian Armed forces are discussed from the regional countries”, D. Tonoyan noted.

“I consider that the EU report evaluates the situation objectively”, he underlined.  He noted that there are some problems in the structure for sure and efforts are made to overcome them.
