Argentinean Ambassador: Argentine is eager to develop relations with Armenia

On May 17 Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan hosted newly-appointed Ambassador of Argentine to Armenia Diego Ernesto Alvarez Rivera on the occasion of handing the copies of the credentials. Press service of Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs about this.

Armenian MFA congratulated the Ambassador on the nomination and noted that Armenian and Argentinean nations are connected by historical ties. And these ties are good base for the development of the further relations as well. Edward Nalbandyan wished Argentinean Ambassador success in his further mission and hoped that he would assist to strengthen ties between two countries.

Ambassador Rivera thanked for the warm wishes and underlined that Argentine was eager to develop relations with Armenia and according to him he would do his best to assist the ties.

The sides also spoke about the bilateral visits of the high-level officials and the cooperation between the international organizations.  

Role of Armenian Community in Argentine was underlined as an important factor for the bilateral relations.

Minister Nalbandyan and Ambassador Rivera also spoke over some regional problems.
