Friendly relations between Armenian Dilijan and Romanian Roman are established

On May 17 Mayor of Romanian Roman city Lourentsiu Dan Leoreanu and Mayor of Armenian Dilijan city Armen Satrosyan signed an agreement about the cooperation between two countries. Armenian Ambassador to Romania Hamlet Gasparyan attended the signing ceremony. According to this agreement friendly relations between Armenian and Romanian cities are established for the first time.

The agreement intends cooperation on cultural, scientific, art and sport spheres. It also intends planning of joint projects on tourism development, establishing ties between the populations of two countries and projects for the youth.

The agreement of the friendly relations was got last year when the Mayors of a range of Romanian cities visited Armenia and got acquainted with Armenian Gyumri, Ijevan, Dilijan, Berd, Noyemberyan and Ayrum towns.

Two Mayors and the Ambassadors announced today that a new era of the cooperation between two friendly nations is opened now.
