Armenian Heritage Park is the first monument in the heart of Boston which is founded in the state territory and is devoted to the victims of Armenian Genocide.

This park is a Armenian gratitude to the USA, American nation, Massachusetts State and to this city which accepted thousands of Armenians who were driven away from the Motherland.

I remember my visit to Boston in September, 2010, when I first got acquainted with the idea o Armenian Heritage Park. I am happy that the idea was fulfilled in this short term”, Minisetr Nalbandyan said.

“Denial of Genocides is a way to the new crimes against humanity. Despite of the geopolitical and other interests the international community must jointly struggle against the genocides”, Minister Nalbandyan added.

“Our joint efforts have their results. The discussion of the genocide was forbidden nearly for a century and now it is opened. Turkish well-known businessman Itcak Alaton offered “to sound voice in the Ankara Parliament and respect memory of innocent victims. Let us meet our past”. Many people in Turkey think like Alaton. Commemoration events in Istanbul and other Turkish cities dedicated to the Armenian Genocide victims are the proof of it”, Nalbandyan underlined.

Before the opening ceremony Ministers Nalbandyan and Hakobyan met Massachusetts Governor D. Patrick and thanked him for assisting Armenian organizations in his state. During the meeting the sides had detailed discussion about Armenian-American organizations and also referred to the South Caucasian countries.
