Ali Akbar Salehi: “We hope that the government of Azerbaijan will condemn the mistaken action occurred at the Iranian Embassy in Baku”

 “We hope that the government of Azerbaijan will condemn the mistaken action occurred outside the Iran’s embassy in Baku and will not allow reiteration of such actions.” According to Iranian media Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Akbar Salehi announced about this commenting on the tensions between Iran and Azerbaijan. 

Relations between two states are especially strained during the last some days. Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a protest note to Azerbaijani Ambassador two days ago. Before it Iran had recalled its ambassador to Azerbaijan over insults against the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei during a planned gathering in front of the Iranian embassy in Baku.
