New staff of Armenian Parliament is known

Yesterday the new staff of the Armenian National Assembly was made public. Central Electoral Committee (CEC) has concluded the Parliamentarian elections which took place on May 6, 2012 in Armenia and presented a report. According to the agenda the first session of the newly-elected 5^th Parliament staff will take place on May 31, tomorrow.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II will participate in the first ceremonial session as well. They will deliver welcoming speeches.

After the welcoming speeches the swearing ceremony of Armenian deputies will take place. The deputies will swear “to serve the nation and fulfill all responsibilities, to protect Armenian Constitution and Armenian laws, to assist protection of Armenian sovereignty and interests and to make efforts for protecting humanitarian and national values.”

According to the codex the first session must be led by the eldest deputy. Mkrtich Minasyan from the Armenian Republican Party is the eldest deputy.

CEC official web-site also presented the list of the deputies by proportional system. So we get the whole list of 131 deputies for the new Parliament.
