CEC hands the mandates: “Prosperous Armenia” announced it will not have places in the new Government

As it was scheduled before today the official ceremony of the handing mandates of the deputies took place at the Central Electoral Committee.

As Armenian media inform Armenian Republican Party (RPA) arrived with almost whole staff. Many members of the “Prosperous Armenia”, “Rule of Law” and Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) did not attend the ceremony. Armenian National Congress (ANC) and “Heritage” parties seem to boycott the ceremony.

First the majority system elected deputies were handed the mandates. Elected deputy of the first electoral territory Ruben Hayrapetyan got the mandate the first.

Representative of the “Prosperous Armenia” party Naira Zohrabyan informed the journalists during the briefing that Gagik Tsarukyan will be the leader of the their fraction. N. Zohrabyan will be the secretary of the fraction. Vice chairman of the “Prosperous Armenia” party Samvel Balasanyan announced that their party will not have any places in the newly-creating Government.

RPA member Galust Sahakyan said it was pity the opposition did not attend the ceremony.
