Armenian Ministry of Defense confirmed: three victims as a result of firing on the border

According to the initial information on June 4 Azerbaijani side violated cease-fire regime rudely on the North-Eastern part of Armenian-Azerbaijani border and tried to enter to the Armenian positions in Berdavan and Chinari villages, Tavush region. Press service of Armenian Ministry of Defense informs about this.

The diversion was prevented due to Armenian soldiers and the enemy was driven away and had losses. Armenian soldiers Hrach Sargsyan, Zohrab Balabekyan and Karen Davtyan perished as a result of the enemy’s actions.

The case is under investigation. Armenian military prosecutor and the special group of Armenian Ministry of Defense arrived in the place of events.

Armenian Armed Forces now supervise the situation on the border and are holding appropriate actions.
