Japanese Foreign Minister is invited to visit Armenia

On June 6 Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan met Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Koichiro Gemba. Armenian MFA was in Japan in the delegation led by Armenian President. Press and information department of Armenian MFA informs about this.

Two Foreign Ministers rated the dialogue between two countries and considered symbolic that President Sargsyan’s visit to Japan is taking place on the 20th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between two countries.

Ministers Nalbandyan and Gemba had a detailed conversation about the further steps to strengthen cooperation.

Two Ministers of Foreign Affairs rated the agreement signed between two Ministries of Foreign Affairs and ensured that it would assist to strengthen ties between two Ministries and will support to make the political consultations more active.

Korean Peninsula issue and South Korean problems and the efforts to settle them were also on agenda. Armenian-Japanese cooperation in frame of the international organizations was also touched upon.

Armenian MFA invited his counterpart visit Yerevan.
