PACE co-rapporteurs will visit Azerbaijan

PACE co-rapporteurs for Azerbaijan Pedro Agramunt and Joseph Debono Grech will visit Azerbaijan on June 12-14, Azerbaijani Press Agency informs.

They will visit the country to further assess the honoring of its obligations and commitments to the Council of Europe, in particular as regards the administration of justice, religious tolerance and local and regional democracy. They are due to meet the leaders of political parties in the Milli Mejlis, the Justice Minister, the Prosecutor General and the head of the Supreme Court, among others, as well as representatives of religious communities and local officials in Guba.

For the last time the co-rapporteurs visited Azerbaijan from January 31 till February 2.
