On June 15 Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan hosted newly appointed Bulgarian Ambassador to Armenia George Karastamatov on the occasion of handing the copies of the credentials. Press and information department of Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs about this.

Minister Nalbandyan congratulated the Ambassador and underlined that Armenian-Bulgarian relations have developed dynamically during those twenty years and hoped that the newly-appointed Ambassador would have important role in strengthening these ties. Speaking about the relations between two nations Armenian MFA underlined that the destinies of two nations have been very similar and they are connected with deep ties and have friendly attitude to each other.

Ambassador Karastamatov thanked for the warm wishes and ensured that he would do his best to achieve better results in the cooperation between two nations.

The sides also discussed some issues on Armenia-EU cooperation.
