Concert dedicated to the Armenian Genocide memory took place in Lebanon

On November 9 concert of the Lebanese philharmonic ensemble led by director Harut Fazlyan took place. Well-known pianist Vardan Mamikonyan also participated in the concert. The concert was held in frame of the 100 concerts program dedicated to the memory of Armenian Genocide victims. Press and information department of Armenian MFA informs about this.

Works of Aram Khachatourian, Alexandr Harutyunyan, Ghazaros Saryan and F. List sounded during the concert. State officials, leaders of the political parties, Ambassadors in Lebanon, public activists and the representatives of Armenian community in Lebanon attended the concert.
Armenian Ambassador to Lebanon Ashot Qocharyan delivered welcoming speech. He underlined the importance of the concert in Lebanon and thanked the supporters of the program.

In his speech consultant of the Minister of Culture Michal Shadarevian spoke about the Armenian Genocide and underlined that the concert reminded that Armenian Genocide was not only the Armenians’ pain but it is a humanitarian problem He hoped that one daythe whole world would recognize Armenian Genocide as Lebanese Parliament did.
