List of arms to be supplied through Russian loan known

The governments of Russia and Armenia have signed a loan agreement of 200 million dollars of exports for 10 years, with payments delayed until the beginning of 2018, the official portal of legal information informed, reports “Armenpress” citing the”Interfax”.

The loan is granted for the Russian armor supply.

According to  the annex , Armenia is to acquire from Russia the “Smerch” multiple rocket system and ammunition for them, “Igla-C” antiaircraft missiles, “Avtobaza-M” gound stations for radio intelligence, ОС-1А heavy flame thrower systems with transport and tanker trucks, 9М113М missiles, RPG-26 grenade launchers, sniper rifles “Dragunovi”, “Tiger” armored vehicles, engineering and communication facilities.

It is reported that the list can be changed by the mutual agreement between the Ministry of Defense of Armenia and the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation.

Armenian side will use the loan to finance up to 90 percent of the supply contracts, with the Russian ruble recount.

Down payment, which amounts to be not less than 10% of each contract, will be implemented by means of the Armenian side, with the Russian ruble in favor of the Russian authorized organizations.
