Syria punished for having Russian stance

New developments can be viewed in the Middle East, the geopolitical situation has changed.
Turkey has a direct participation in the Syrian conflict, striking more than 100 times at the Aleppo province. It intensified the attacks on Kurds.

These developments have its impact on Armenia, says Narek Galstyan, the chairman of the board.

“The Republic of Armenia, Armenian politics and political thought should be trained. Is the foreign policy of Armenia ready to face the challenges?” said Galstyan at the meeting on the impact of Russian-Turkish relations on Armenia.

Syrian journalist and analyst Hakob Mikaelyan noted that the ‘whys’ related to Syrian conflict are numerous and the answers to the questions are not found yet.

Political analyst Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan shed a light on the reasons of Russia’s participations in the Syrian conflict.

According to him, Moscow realized that if not presented in this or that way in the Middle East, it would lose its influence in the Black Sea region, Eastern Europe, where NATO sets up defense systems to strengthen its military presence.

“They realized that they should strike at Syria, thus not allowing the conflict to reach Russia.

Second, the situation in Syria allows the West to reduce the oil prices via the illegal oil flow and hit the Russian economy.

The official Moscow realizes that by stopping the illegal oil flow, it can save its economy from the threats coming from Syria.”
