OSCE official: “Nagorno Karabakh conflict is an important issue in the region”

“OSCE is increasing efforts towards the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict and keeping the issue in the focus of attention,” OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Special Representative on South Caucasus Joao Soares said at the meeting with speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament Ogtay Asadov, APA reports.

Noting that it is his first visit to the region, including Azerbaijan, Joao Soares said Nagorno Karabakh conflict is an important issue in the region that needs to be solved soon and OSCE is carrying out necessary activities.

He said important activities are being carried out at the relevant committee of the OSCE PA.

Mutual, bilateral cooperation was also discussed at the meeting.

Ogtay Asadov spoke about the Azerbaijani parliament’s activity, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijan’s major problem.
