Ed. Nalbandyan had meetings with Korean high-level officials

On February 23 Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbnadyan was hosted by Korean Prime Minister Hvang Sik Kim. Note that Armenian MFA is in Seoul with the invitation of his Korean counterpart Kim Sung-Hvan. Press and information department of the RA MFA informs about this.

Armenian MFA and Korean PM had many issues on agenda. The referred to the second session of nuclear security, which will take place on March 26-27 in Seoul, spoke about the preparations of the World EXPO-2012, which is scheduled on May-August, 2012, in Korea. The sides referred to the Armenian participation to such events of world meaning.  

The sides also hoped that the 20^th anniversary of diplomatic relations will become a new point to develop the relations and expressed their readiness to take the necessary steps for it.

Korean PM noted that Korean side was ready to continue assisting Armenia technically. Both sides also referred to the possible developments of the political, cultural and economical cooperation between two countries.

On the same day Armenian MFA met his Korean counterpart Kim Sung-Hvan. On the beginning of the meeting the sides exchanged the letters by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Korean President Li Myung-Bak on the 20^th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations.

Korean MFA welcomed Ed. Nalbandyan and said: “20^th anniversary of bilateral relations is a good occasion to conclude the way we have passed and discuss the continuation of the developments”.

Armenian MFA thanked for the invitation and rated the agreements on various sphere to cooperate.

Bilateral, regional and international issues were discussed during the meeting.

Armenian MFA presented the last developments of the negotiations on NK issue settlement. Korean MFA presented his country’s attitude towards the Asian developments.

Armenian MFA invited his counterpart to visit Yerevan.

Edward Nalbandyan also delivered a speech for the students of Korean Diplomatic Academy.

Minister Nalbandyan held also some meetings in the Korean Parliament.

Ending his visit to Korea Mr. nalbandyan left for Vietnam.
