Iranian, Turkish and Azerbaijani MFAs met in Nakhichevan: South Caucasus is under consideration

Iranian, Turkish and Azerbaijani Ministers of Foreign Affair Ali Akbar Salehi, Ahmet Davutoglu and Elmar Mammadyarov have met in Nakchivan.

The meeting is being held behind closed doors, Trend informs.

Before the trilateral meeting the MFAs have already held bilateral meetings.

It is expected that the foreign ministers will discuss issues of mutual interest to all three states, including – the peaceful settlement of current conflicts in the region and necessity to create favorable conditions to achieve this goal. Possibility of some joint projects is also on agenda.

As is expected, the ministers will focus on the current situation in South Caucasus. The ministers will discuss ways to deepen cooperation through economic growth and sustainable development.

The first meeting was held in the Iranian city of Orumiyeh.
