Armenian-Russian political consultations took place

On April 27 the political consultations between Armenian and Russian MFAs took place on the Northern American issues. Press and information department of Armenian MFA informs about this. Russian delegation was led by the director of American department Alexander Darchin and Armenian side was led by the deputy MFA Ashot Hovakimyan.

A. Hovakimyan underlined the importance of such meetings and noted that Armenian side was interested in them. Speaking about the challenges which the globalization brings to the whole world A. Hovakimyan underlined that Armenia is eager to see the stable relations between the USA and Russia as those relations has their direct impression on the Middle East and the South Caucasus.

Alexander Darchin noted thanked for the warm acceptance in his turn and noted that such consultations were especially important for the sides taking into consideration the strategic relations of the allies. Then Darchin presented shortly the relations between Russia and the Northern America, spoke about the agreement on Afghanistan issue between the coalition forces. During the consultations the sides referred to the OSCE MG works, spoke about the situation in Syria and touched upon some other issues of bilateral interest.
