During the meeting Minister Nalbandyan delivered speech and transferred warm greetings of Armenian President and especially said: “On these days NATO summit is going on in Chicago and Armenian President is invited to participate in the summit on Afghanistan.

Armenian President’s meeting with you was on agenda as well.

Conflicts in South Caucasus and Moldova are included in NATO summit agenda as well. The attitude towards these conflicts does not coincide with the OSCE MG co-chairs’ attitude towards the Nagorno Karabakh issue. And the Presidents of France, Russia and the USA have announced about it for many times. Its formulation does not coincide with the last announcements and decisions on NK issue by the OSCE MG. It can not only damage the NK issue settlement process but also can make the situation sharper in the region.

Taking into consideration these troubles Armenian President decided not to participate in the Chicago meeting at all.”

Minister Nalbandyan presented the priorities of Armenian foreign policy, spoke about the NK issue settlement process and underlined the importance of the international recognition of Armenian Genocide. Armenian Minister spoke also about the last elections which took place in Armenia and rated role of Armenian-Americans in Armenian-American relations.
