Nabucco project may be canceled completely

“Nabucco” project whish intended to provide EU countries with gas from the Caspian Sea and Central Asia may be canceled at all till June, 2012. Armenian tert.am informs about this quoting to ITAR TASS news agency.

The project is launched since 2002 by Hungarian and Bulgarian energetic companies and the constructions should be started till 2014.

Independent experts considered since the beginning that the economical effectiveness of the project was doubtful.

Despite of it European organizations supported Nabucco and announced that it had a strategic meaning for the EU energetic safety.

But now some important organizations such as BP have left the project during the last weeks. So some frames consider now that the EU must overview its attitude and has to agree with the idea of its closure.

 According to the experts some changes in the gas world market also assisted NABUCCO project to fail.
