French delegation met Catholicos Garegin II

On May 26 French Senators Phillip Marini, Sophie Juassen and Bernard Furnie visited Holy Etchmiadzin. Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II hosted the guests, press service of Holy See Mother Etchmiadzin informs.

Garegin II welcomed the gusets and congratulated them on the Presidential election. His Holiness wished new President’s mission would be effective and productive for French nation.

 Referring to the relations between two nations Garegin II noted that Armenian nation has unique warm attitude towards French nation as teh latter have always been with Armenians on the hard minutes. Speaking about Armenian Community in France His Holiness thanked French authorities for giving opportunity Armenians in France to live with coplete life.

Head of the French delegation Phillip Marini referred to Armenian-French relations and underlined that they were on high level. Mr. Senator rated role of Armenian Community for French development.

The Senators presented their impession from the visit to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) and underlined that Artsakh has deep Christian culture.
