Armenian Ambassador and Latvian President discussed bilateral cooperation

On June 19, Armenian Ambassador to Latvia Ara Ayvazyan gave his credentials to the President of Latvia Andris Berzins. During the interview followed by the ceremony of presentation the President of Latvia and the Armenian Ambassador discussed the further prospectives of the continuous political negotiations and bilateral relations, as well as the further cooperation of two countries in the frames of the international structures.

Emphasizing the importance of progress made by Armenia concerning the issue of the integration of Armenia to the European Union, President Berzins expressed the compliance of his country to support Armenia in this process. As President of Latvia requested, ambassador Ayvazyan presented the latest progress made in the process of the peaceful regulation of the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh.

During the stay in Riga, Armenian ambassador met also the speaker of Latvian Congress Andrejs Klementejvs, as well as the Minister of Education and Science Robert Kilis.
