Case opened against ‘Hurriyet’ and CNN Turk for insulting Recep Tayyip Erdogan

As reports “Armenpress” citing imctv.com.tr a probe was launched against the Turkish media for insulting the President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

This time the targets are the Turkish “Hurriyet” newspaper and CNN Turk.

The investigation against “Hurriyet” was launched because of installing Erdogan’s picture into the famous Leonardo da Vinci’s “Last Supper” painting which was entitled “13 reasons for Friday 13 failure”.

“Dogan” company’s fired two people for the publication of this information.

An indictment against them is prepared, which requires the “Hurriyet” former employees to be sentenced to 5 years.

The reason of the other investigation is that after CNN Turk called Erdogan “offal dictator” by Kılıçdaroğlu, the President’s response statement was titled “Dictator in the court”.
