The next hackney of Azerbaijani propaganda is demolished

Name of the EP deputy Pino Arlacchi has become famous among Armenian and Italian citizens very quickly. But such “fame” hardly can be pleasant or useful for any politician. Just the opposite, it is an attaint which is impossible to clean. Name of Pino Arlacchi will now be associated with words “liar, hackney politician”, and not only in Italy and Armenia, but also in the whole European continent.
Arlacchi himself realizes this. Arlacchi is a person who agreed to give high evaluation to Azerbaijani presidential elections at the expense of high price. Announcements made by the politician prove this. He makes now careless announcements in order to justify himself in front of his counterparts and the European media. But let’s examine everything in turn…

As it is well-known, Azerbaijani presidential elections took place on October 9 and Ilham Aliyev “got” nearly 85 % of votes at these elections. This means he became the President of Azerbaijan for already third time. Above-mentioned electoral process is far from being democratic. Pressure on the opposition by Aliyev’s supporters made just surprised the international society. The European media just was full of criticizing articles on the election’s day and before it.
Human rights protection organizations presented alerting articles one after another. Amount of violations at the whole electoral process was so great that even some organizations refused to monitor the elections as they were sure no democratic election would take place there.
And the EP observation mission led by Pino Arlacchi arrives in Azerbaijan in such situation. After the elections the mission announces that the elections passed “free, fair and just”. Naturally, such “fantastic” announcement should cause some questions not only in the European Parliament but also in any democratic society. And, of course, such questions were given. Moreover, the answers for them were also found…

The other day Italian Panorama.it portal presented a large criticizing article about Arlachhi’s activities (English version can be found here). The author of article writes that Arlacchi’s report caused anger of a range of EP parliamentarians and asks: “why has Arlacchi seen democracy at a place where it doesn’t exist at all”?

In order to find the answer the author offers to get acquainted with Arlacchi’s activities from the UN to the EP. It becomes known that he led the UN agency against drugs till 2001 and was resigned as his compatriots Maurizio Turcco and Daniele Capeccone accused him in legalization of the Taliban staff in Afghanistan.

There are also some other interesting facts in the article. But this is also enough for the Panorama.it audience and the EP members to be sure that Pino Arlacchi is led not by truth, justice and democracy but by his own profit. The paid profit, I mean.

The article at the mentioned portal had an effect to blasted bomb. Most of the facts were soon spread both in European and Armenian media and just put a cross on Arlacchi’s authority and future political career.

This information huge action became a super-natural justifiable punishment which just demolished politician Pino Arlacchi and made his name synonymous of lie. And now he tries to justify himself in vain and in vain tries to present accusations to Panorama.it. The answer of Arlacchi at the mentioned portal is just a poor attempt to save himself.

We must note that Pino Arlacchi is not the only victim of Azerbaijani policy. Fortunately, Armenian diplomacy, community of politicians and journalists managed to find out an army of politicians like Arlacchi. Their names aren’t just reminded in those international organizations which used to defend Azerbaijani interests one day. Our today’s “hero” also had the same destiny and this is the next victory for all of us.
