Armenian newspapers today: tensions of Armenian-Azerbaijani border

“Zhokhovurd” writes referring to its well-informed sources according which Union of Politicians which belongs to Hmayak Hovhannisyan has no activities after the elections. “Mr. Hovhannisyan informed us during the phone conversation that the fellow-workers are having holidays now”. According to Hovhannisyan the fellow-workers worked hard and now are having holidays till August 10. He informed that new program will be on since September.

“Haykakan zhamanak” writes that after Azerbaijani diversion attack on Chinari and Berdavan villages of Tavush region the situation is strained on the border. Since yesterday midday the enemy started to fire and it lasted till the evening. People in the villages spent all day in homes or in the cellars.  

“Zhokhovurd” writes that the US Ambassador in Armenia John Heffern and the Embassy fellow-workers cleaned the territory in Yerevan called “Hrazdan canyon”.  US Ambassador has not only cleaned the territory but also “thanked Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan with his well-known smile for assisting the cleaning works”.
