Armenia-EU association agreement negotiations took place

On May 3 the 9^th plenary session of the Armenia-EU Association Agreement took place in Brussels. Armenian delegation was lead by the Deputy MFA Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and European side was lead by the main negotiator Gunar Vigand. Press and information department of RA Minister of Foreign Affairs informs about this.

Both sides underlined with satisfaction that 24 chapters of the economical, financial cooperation have been temporary closed.

As a result of negotiations the main principles and aims have been agreed and some issues o political dialogue, foreign and policy and safety were touched upon.

After the association session the preparation meeting of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Zone discussions took place. Deputy Minister of Economics of RA Garegin Melqonyan led the negotiations from Armenian side.   

The first meeting on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Zone discussions will take place in Yerevan.
