Ali-Akbar Salehi hopes that Baghdad talks on Iranian nuclear issue will serve as a step forward

Negotiations and various discussions of the 5+1 negotiations on Iranian nuclear program are going on. Iranian Foreign Minister, Ali-Akbar Salehi, and his Norwegian counterpart, Jonas Gahr Store referred to the upcoming Iran-G5+1 Baghdad talks during the phone conversation among other issues.

As the Iranian official web-site IRNA informs the two officials in the phone conversation voiced pleasure with outcomes of the Norwegian delegation’s visit to Tehran and stressed the need for expansion of mutual cooperation and exchange of delegations in various levels.

Among other issues discussed in the phone call were key regional issues such as peace in Afghanistan. They emphasized helping promotion of peace and development in Afghanistan.

Salehi, expressing pleasure with Istanbul talks, hoped that Baghdad talks would serve as a step forward, solving bilateral problems.
