Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi and EU Foreign Policy Deputy Chief Helga Schmidt ended their two days of talks in Geneva, Switzerland, after reaching an agreement over the remaining issues pertaining to implementation of recent nuclear deal. Iranian IRNA writes about this.
“Final decision-making on remaining issues on the implementation of Geneva agreement will be taken at the capital cities of the negotiating sides and the results will be announced until next two weeks,” Araqchi said.
“During two days of intensive talks with Schmidt in Geneva, the solutions to remaining issues on how to implement the Geneva agreement at the level of senior political directors between Iran and the Group 5+1 (the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany) have been studied and summed up,” he added.
Araqchi underlined that the result of the recent talks has been relayed to the capital cities and the final decision-making will be taken in the capital cities and the results will be announced within next two days and the first step for implementation of Geneva talks will be taken.
He added that if all sides accept the agreement, then there will be an official announcement within the next few days regarding the start of implementation of the Geneva deal within ten days.
