German deputy MFA before her visit to Armenia: “German-Armenian relations have deep historical roots”

German Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Cornelia Pieper will visit Armenia on April 16. “Artsakh European Center” NGA informs about this.

“German-Armenian relations have deep historical roots. 20th anniversary of the diplomatic relations with the Republic of Armenia will be celebrated this spring. Germany is the second country of the bilateral cooperation with Armenia. Cultural ties between two countries are very important bridge for these relations”, deputy MFA of German told about Armenian-German relations.

“Unfortunately some unsettled conflicts exist in South Caucasus and their solution will assist the region to be developed faster. We want to support sides to trust each other. Coming elections in Armenia and Georgia are good index for the democracy in these countries”, German diplomat is sure.

Cornelia Pieper will meet Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan and Minister of Culture Mrs. Hasmik Pogosyan. On April 17 German high level official will meet Armenian Minister of Science and Education Armen Ashotyan.

On April 16 C. Pieper will open “Call out Art” exhibition. On April 17 Pieper jointly with A. Ashotyan will open German language center in Yerevan.
