Foreign Minister of Armenia received the President of European People's Party
On April 25, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received the President of European People's Party Joseph Daul, who arrived in Yerevan to take part in the events dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centenary. Press and information department of the RA Foreign Ministry informs about this.
Welcoming the guest Minister Nalbandian expressed appreciation for the principled position of the EPP on the Armenian Genocide. In this context, Foreign Minister of Armenia commended “The Armenian Genocide and European Values” Resolution adopted on the Centenary of the Armenian Genocide by the EPP Political Assembly on March 3, as well as the contribution of the largest political force in Europe to the adoption of Resolution by the European Parliament.
During the meeting, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and President of EPP Joseph Daul exchanged thoughts on Armenia-European Union cooperation, processes taking place in Europe.
The sides discussed the situation unfolding as a consequence of the Ukrainian crisis and possible ways of settlement. Developments in the Middle East were reflected on.
Minister Nalbandian presented the efforts exerted by Armenia and OSCE Minsk group Co-Chairs towards peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
