Eagles guitarist Glenn Frey dead

Eagles guitarist, one of the founders of the band, Glenn Frey died in New York City on Monday, according to AFP relax news.

Frey co-founded the Eagles in 1971 with Don Henley, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner.

His band dominated charts throughout the 1970s with hits such as “Hotel California”, “Life in the Fast Lane”, “Already gone”, “The long run”, “ Best of my love” and so on.

Frey died of complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia, The Eagles said.

“He was the spark plug, the man with the plan. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of popular music and a work ethic that wouldn’t quit.” fellow Eagle Don Henley said in a statement.

The band dominated the American Rock charts throughout the 1970s wit hits including “ Take it easy”, “ One of these nights “, and “ Hotel California”-songs known as cover-band classics today.
