US considers Turkey’s stance towards Kurds be obstacle to normalization of situation in Syria- The Wall Street Journal
US authorities believe that the stance adopted by Turkey against the Kurds, is one of the main obstacles on the way of political settlement of the situation in Syria and that it seriously hinders to struggle against the so-called terrorist group "Islamic state", reports "Armenpress” citing the American paper “The wall street journal”.
“According to the American officials, Turkey’s hostile attitude towards the Kurdish fighters in Syria who are among the most effective allies against the Islamic State, undermines the efforts that are aimed to conduct the most intense combat operations against the extremist group”, the newspaper notes.
According to the newspaper, Ankara has repeatedly told Washington that the US Kurdish allies in Syria transfer arms to the representatives of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, which in its turn put it to usage in Turkey.
US authorities consider the allegations to be baseless, according to TASS.
