In a letter to the members of the US Congress, the congressmen Frank Pallone (D) and Robert Dold (R) have called for the support to increase the financial aid allocated to Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, reports “Armenpress.”

In particular, it is proposed to allocate a minimum of $ 5 million for the implementation of humanitarian and sustainable development programmes in Karabakh, and at least $ 40 million for the economic assistance for Armenia (including the Economic Support Fund, the international fight against drug trafficking and international programs of health care coverage).

It is also offered to suspend the military aid to Azerbaijan as long as it has not ceased the violations along the Nagorno-Karabakh border.

Allocation of financial aid is proposed to the Armenians living in Syria.

The issue on Nagorno-Karabakh being included in the negotiation process in the framework of the Minsk Group is highlighted as well.
